Every now and then I knocked to the floor of just how fantastic Japan is. There are so many little things that make up the whole, even if you can’t see the forest for all the trees, you can find any amount of cool stuff, great people or heart warming customs to enjoy. One of the first things that floored me where the beauty of the national dress, the kimono. Even after decades in Japan I still stop and stare like a tourist every time I see a kimono on the streets of Tokyo. I guess it is a good thing that I still look like a complete tourist most of the time, map, note books and camera in hand!
